Information on Updates

Complete BIONDA-updates are performed automatically and monthly (on the first day of each month). During the update procedure the service is not affected and can be used without any restrictions. As part of the update procedure, therefore all appropriate PubMed abstracts are scanned (again) by the BIONDA algorithm. As a result , all new PubMed entries are gathered and also entries from publications, which were removed or changed in PubMed, are updated. The version number and version date are displayed on the start page of BIONDA.

The version number is composed as follows: Major update, yearly update and monthly update.
